Ornament Elegance

Simple card using the ornament keepsakes bundle. Also used square lattice EF, vintage wallpaper EF, finishing touches edgelits. Ornaments are inked with baja breeze and so saffron.

(I thought I should do a simple, almost monochromatic card after my previous wildly colored post "colorful woodgrain")

Antiqued Elements

stamps - elements of style, teeny tiny wishes
ink - espresso, crumb cake, so saffron, always artichoke
cardstock - so saffron, espresso, whisper white, crumb cake
accessories - bitty banners framelits, labels framelits, vintage wallpaper EF, square lattice EF, crumb cake ribbon, itty bitty punches, pearls

I inked the vintage wallpaper EF with crumb cake and espresso for the white background panel. I cut crumb cake with labels framelit, inked the vintage wallpaper EF with so saffron and crumb cake, then embossed.

Colored the flower from elements of style with blender pen and crumb cake, espresso, so saffron, always artichoke.

Colorful Woodgrain

ink - pumpkin pie, rich razzleberry, melon mambo, wild wasabi, going green, black stazon
cardstock - espresso, whisper white

To make the background on the woodgrain, I colored the negative of the embossing folder with a pumpkin pie and rich razzleberry pen.

Winterish Day

To make this card I colored the negative portion of the woodgrain embossing folder with a crumb cake marker before embossing the white cardstock. Punched corners with ticket punch. Matted with espresso; punched corners with ticket punch.

Stamped lovely as a tree in black stazon, then sponged crumb cake, espresso, baja breeze, not quite navy, and going gray; cut with labels framelit.

Cut crumb cake with labels framelit, embossed with square lattice EF. Added decorative label in baja breeze, and modern label in espresso.

Stamped happy birthday from teeny tiny wishes set in not quite navy, punched with word window and matted with modern label. Added mini brads and small circle from itty bitty punch (I punched this out of the embossed woodgrain before adhereing the tree). Adhered to crumb cake card.

(Added espresso sponging to the edge of all the pieces before adhering)

cardstock - primrose petals, whisper white
accesories - primrose petals ribbon, itty bitty punches, pearl rhinestones

Inked the entire hello doily stamp with sahara sand, then inked the edges with pretty in pink before stamping.

Embossed Doily

First masked off the sponged area - sponged in pumpkin pie, rich razzleberry, elegant eggplant. Stamped doily in elegant eggplant on top; embossed with fancy fan folder. Added itty bitty flower punch, itty bitty banner stamped in pumpkin pie. Card is primrose petals.

So Many Smiles

SUPPLIES:

stamps - delicate doilies, petite pairs, french foliage (dots)
ink - crumb cake, cajun craze, always artichoke, espresso
paper - crumb cake, whisper white, rust
accessories - itty bitty punches, mini brads, corner rounder

The idea for this card was to create a card without using the Big Shot. When I teach classes at the library, we do two cards and inevitably, everyone ends up waiting for the Big Shot. So I decided to do one card that emphasizes embossing folders and diecuts, and another that doesn't require the use of the Big Shot at all!

Dazzling Snowflake

SUPPLIES:
  • stamps - teeny tiny wishes
  • cardstock - bashful blue, white
  • ink - not quite navy
  • accessories - holiday frame EF, snow flurry Bigz die, button, dazzling diamonds, two way glue pen; ticket, modern label and word window punches

French Foliage Thanks

I saw this card technique posted on Stampin' Connection by Marian Garcia. I loved the simple effect of the masking and sponging. I changed the colors and added the tab at the top.

Mask off the top and bottom of the card leaving the width exposed that will be sponged. Sponge in graduated colors - dark, medium, light. I began by sponging the daffodil delight on the right and worked my way left, adding calypso coral to the middle and melon mambo to the far left side. Whie still masked, use espresso to stamp the leaves that will only be inside the masking. Remove the mask and stamp the rest of the leaves that overlap the masking in espresso; add the dots and and round paris stamp in melon mambo. Stamp sentiment and add word window punch to top with button and baker's twine. Cardstock is so saffron.

Used ticket punch on top and matted with espresso and added designer series button and espresso baker's twine; added dotted scallop ribbon border punched in pink pirouette and espresso. Stamped thanks so much from old sincere salutations on pink pirouette; punched with oval, and matted in espresso with scallop oval. Used ticket punch on top edges of espresso and white cardstock.

Colorful Doilies

So I appear to be stuck on coloring with blender pens...I will need to snap out of it pretty soon :)

I stamped the delicate doily images in stazon black onto whisper white cardstock; colored them in with blender pen and wisteria wonder, wild wasabi, and marina mist. Matted with bashful blue and certainly celery. Banners are embossed with square lattice, chevron and fancy fan embossing folders. Added gumball green ribbon, pearls, itty bitty banner "congratulations" cut with bitty banner framelit.

Snowflakes

This is the first time I've tried out this snowflake soiree set. The snowflakes in this set from the Holiday Catalog are beautiful!!! I stamped with stazon black onto watercolor paper, and colored in the snowflakes with blender pens using elegant eggplant and not quite navy. I used the finishing touches edgelits to mat the image.
