Plaid Chick

I can't seem to get enough of the Hey, Chick and Hey Birthday Chick bundles. I opted for a more colorful background on this one. The Cucumber Green background panel is embossed with the old Tulip Frame ef. I created the plaid background panel with a paint brush and distress oxide inks on watercolor paper (Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles and Twisted Cirtron). The chickens are colored with Ohuhu alcohol ink markers.

Simple Hey Chick

Another card using the Hey Birthday Chick bundle and the Hey Chick bundles. I thought I'd leave more "white" and let the cute chickens do the work!

Distress Oxide Ink Gears

Smoky Slate Cardstock & Distress Oxide Inks

I created this quick video to show you how you can take a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock and turn it into a mottled, grungey, oxidized looking piece for die cutting the Garage Gears thinlits. I used the Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot, Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Hickory Smoke, Frayed Burlap and Tumbled Glass. To finish off the piece, I added some of the Ranger micro distress glaze.

All of the embossed panels were made using the different distress oxide inks, in the same way as the garage gears, just different colors.

Happy Birthday Chick 2

Still playing around with the Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick bundles. I decided to focus on Soft Sea Foam Green for this card. The background panel is Soft Sea Foam Green, as well as the body of the chicken and the egg shell of the baby chick using Stampin' Blends in the Soft Sea Foam. I love that each chick looks like they are doing a little dance of celebration! The background behind the die cut fence was applied using the blending brushes and Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink.

Watercolor Strawberries

I CASE'd this card from pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/346284658855641742/

After stamping the strawberries from Sweet Strawberry stamp set, I colored with watercolor paints and aquapainter brush. The dots were from Waterfront stamp set. I love the freedom of the watercolor, where it's okay to color outside the lines! The watercolor set I used is Giorgione 48 color.

These cards will be sent to some ladies that attended one of my workshops that had never been exposed to stamping and papercrafting!
