watercolor moments

A watercolor scene using the Mountain Air stamp set on watercolor paper. This is a simple and forgiving technique. Ink the mountains in Lost Lagoon and spritz before stamping three times in layers. Then inked the trees in Mossy Meadow and spritzed, stamping two or three times before reinking. Then inked the bottom trees in Mossy Meadow and stamped without spritzing. Sentiment not SU.

For this watercolor effect, I inked crumpled saran wrap in Azure Afternoon and Mint Macaroon, spritzed with water then stamped randomly on paper. Then stamped Distress Oxide ink Peacock Feathers onto acetate, spritzed, then inked trees and stamped randomly. Added gilded leafing in various spots with glue.

Love Never Fails

Flowers are from Marigold Moments bundle and are stamped in Flirty Flamingo on Basic White CS. Leaves are from Happiness Abounds stamp set and Blossoming Happiness dies.

Ecclesiastes 3

Another Marigold Moments card using Tangerine Tango and Powder Pink for the flowers. The background stripes were made with Tim Holtz distress crayons and an aqua painter. The leaves are from Happiness Abounds stamps and matching Blossoming Happiness dies. Sentiment is from a seller on Amazon - I just love the Ecclesiastes verse 3:1-8. Such a reminder that we are not in control.

Fall Is In The Air

Fall is in the air in my neck of the woods with the smell of wood stove burning and crisp nights! I love the imagery of the sunflowers and the pumpkins in the back of a classic truck coming from the pumpkin patch!

Triple Greetings

More of the fun Hey Birthday Chick bundle. The sentiment is from Sweet Strawberry stamp set and the background squares are from Tasteful Touches. The chickens were colored with Ohuhu alcohol ink markers. The chickens are a great all occasion greeting!

Plaid Chick

I can't seem to get enough of the Hey, Chick and Hey Birthday Chick bundles. I opted for a more colorful background on this one. The Cucumber Green background panel is embossed with the old Tulip Frame ef. I created the plaid background panel with a paint brush and distress oxide inks on watercolor paper (Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles and Twisted Cirtron). The chickens are colored with Ohuhu alcohol ink markers.
