Classic Trucks card

I don't know about you, but I often struggle with ideas for a masculine card. I love this classic truck from the Trucking Along set item # 162299. It is available for purchase in the online exclusives. I also love that the truck comes with a coordinating punch - super simple to create multiple.

The truck is a two-step stamping, so the background color is from a stamp. The "best wishes" makes it a nice all occasion card. Simple, fun, masculine - ya!

watercolor moments

A watercolor scene using the Mountain Air stamp set on watercolor paper. This is a simple and forgiving technique. Ink the mountains in Lost Lagoon and spritz before stamping three times in layers. Then inked the trees in Mossy Meadow and spritzed, stamping two or three times before reinking. Then inked the bottom trees in Mossy Meadow and stamped without spritzing. Sentiment not SU.

For this watercolor effect, I inked crumpled saran wrap in Azure Afternoon and Mint Macaroon, spritzed with water then stamped randomly on paper. Then stamped Distress Oxide ink Peacock Feathers onto acetate, spritzed, then inked trees and stamped randomly. Added gilded leafing in various spots with glue.

Mountain Man Card

A masculine card for my father in law's birthday. The waterfront stamp set is one of my faves, it's so forgiving. I first watercolor smooshed the background on watercolor paper with Lemon Lime, Dapper Denim and Cucumber Green (stamped some of each color on acetate, sprayed with water, then smooshed on the watercolor cardstock). After it dried I stamped the mountains in Lost Lagoon, the trees in Mossy Meadow, the water in Coastal Cabana, and the little cabin in Dapper Denim. Added a few spatters of basic black ink with a wet aqua painter.

Classic Truck Cards

This classic truck from Loads of Love set never gets old! I love the versatility of looking feminine or rustic or masculine. I struggle with masculine guy cards, and this set never fails.
