Acrylic Block Leaves

I tried the acrylic block technique and didn't like the image on the paper so I decided to diecut the leaves out of it and add some color spritzing and brayering to them.

I stamped pumpkin pie and cajun craze on my acrylic block, sprayed with water, then stamped on whisper white. I then diecut all of the leaves; used SU's color spritzer tool and added cherry cobbler, more mustard and crumb cake. Brayered edges with soft suede on some leaves and cajun craze on the others. Background panels are embossed with wood grain folder. Cardstock: espresso, so saffron, whisper white. Happy Thanksgiving from TEENY TINY WISHES set. Leaves are spellbinders nested maple leaves. Ribbon is daffodil delight. I used popup dots on a few of the leaves.

Another Simple Reason to Smile

This is the same card for the Hayden library workshop, but with a different flower and a few of the itty bitty punches added for character. Sometimes if the class has over 5 or 6 people, I use a different stamp so more than one person can work at a time. So this is just a slightly different version than the last post.

Simple Reason to Smile

This card is for another workshop I am teaching at the Hayden library. Trying to keep it simple but still cute. This flower is from the reason to smile set. I also used the petals a plenty EF, the word window punch, and the itty bitty punches. I stamped the flowers in real red, calypso coral and pretty in pink.

Brayered Poppies

To make this card I first stamped the poppy image in rich razzleberry on whisper white cardstock, heat embossed to set ink, then colored image with versamark pen and heat embossed with clear EP. Brayered pink pirouhette, cajun craze, rich razzleberry, not quite covering the previous color as I brayered the next; embossed the image with perfect polka dot EF and cut with labels framelits and sponged rich razzleberry around the edges.

Soft Flower Thank You

This is a simple and elegant thank you card using the flower from an old hostess set called simply soft. I love how the 2 step stamping works on this flower to give it a watercolor look.

OLD TRUCK Mancard

The idea of this card was a love you or valentine MANCARD. This truck is from the countryside stamp set. The background paper is cajun craze, baja breeze, soft suede, black and floral districut DSP. The truck was stamped in stazon brown on watercolor paper, then colored with markers and blender pen. I stamped LOVE on baja breeze and added to tailgate of truck. I had to piece together the "all i want is you" phrase and "love" from different stamp sets. After I cut the truck image with the labels framelits, I also used the labels framelits on soft suede, then trimmed off the bottom portion and adhered to the truck image. Then added a small strip of black.
SUPPLIES:

  • baja breeze, cajun craze, soft suede, watercolor, black cardstock; floral district designer series paper
  •  countryside, pennant parade (love), best of everything (all i want is), tiny tags (you)
  • timber brown stazon ink
  • word window, tiny tag punches; labels framelits; argyle embossing folder
