Butterfly Sunset

I used the brayer technique on this card. I first stamped the field flowers and butterfly in black stazon; then stamped the shading part of field flowers in so saffron. I colored the butterfly with markers. Then I used a versamarker to cover the images and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I brayered daffodil delight in bottom left corner at an angle. After masking off the sun with a post it, I brayered from the top right hand corner at an angle: so saffron; then moving up a little and not quite covering all of the so saffron  added calypso coral; then not covering all of the calypso coral added melon mambo; sponged in so saffron on the sun.

SUPPLIES:
  • cardstock - melon mambo, black, whisper white
  • ink - daffodil delight, so saffron, calypso coral, melon mambo, versamark pen
  • stamps - field flowers, papillon potpourri, itty bitty banners
  • accessories - modern label punch, bitty banners framelits, itty bitty shapes punches, clear embossing powder, heat gun

Happy Thoughts of You

This is my first attempt at the baby wipe technique. I took 4 reinkers and dropped a few of each color in a row on a baby wipe and wiped it directly on Whisper White cardstock. As I continued down, some of the colors overlapped. Then I stamped the flower directly over the top. Card is matted in early espresso.

SUPPLIES (all SU unless otherwise noted):
  • Cardstock: early espresso, whisper white, melon mambo
  • Ink: elegant eggplant, calypso coral
  • Reinkers: calypso coral, melon mambo, wisteria wonder, pool party
  • Stamps: Field Flowers
  • Punches: dotted scallop ribbon border, decorative label, martha stewart edge punch
  • Misc: ribbon, pink rhinestones (not SU)

Father's Day Field Flowers

This is a father's day card - and the reason I can get away with beautiful flower's for a "manly" card, is that my step-dad is an amazing photographer of wildflowers : ) So he is one of the few men that might appreciate such a card. It is similar to the previously posted Field Flowers Thank You but I changed the colors to add a little more masculine tones : )

For the two-step stamping on the flowers I used Cherry Cobbler for the outline and Pumpkin Pie for the shading. Cardstock colors are Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, and Whisper White. I stamped the image before diecutting with the Labels Framelits.

Field Flower Thanks

My goal with this card was to try to use a color combo that wouldn't be typical for me to select with the Field Flower set.  I used cajun craze, lucky limeade, early espresso, and white cardstock. For ink I used cherry cobbler for the flower outline, pumpkin pie for the two step stamping, and always artichoke for the stem and sentiment. I used the labels and bitty banners framelits, the petals a plenty and square lattice embossing folders, and the ribbon border and ticket punches. The sentiment is the itty bitty banners set with an antique brad below it.

Now on to father's day cards...

Field Flowers

Another rainy day...I am ready for sunshine.  This Field Flowers set seems bright and cheery - I'll see if the cheer is contagious : )
I used the large paper doily die, the polka dots EF, the swirls scribbles die all in whisper white. The flower is stamped in Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, and Wild Wasabi. The with Love sentiment is cut out with the bitty banners framelits. The card and flower are matted with Wisteria Wonder and the button is from the designer series.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
