So Simple Doily









SUPPLIES:

stamps - hello doily, sincere salutations
ink - sahara sand, pretty in pink, espresso
cardstock - primrose petals, whisper white
accesories - primrose petals ribbon, itty bitty punches, pearl rhinestones

Inked the entire hello doily stamp with sahara sand, then inked the edges with pretty in pink before stamping.

Embossed Doily


First masked off the sponged area - sponged in pumpkin pie, rich razzleberry, elegant eggplant. Stamped doily in elegant eggplant on top; embossed with fancy fan folder. Added itty bitty flower punch, itty bitty banner stamped in pumpkin pie. Card is primrose petals.

So Many Smiles

ink - crumb cake, cajun craze, always artichoke, espresso
paper - crumb cake, whisper white, rust
accessories - itty bitty punches, mini brads, corner rounder


The idea for this card was to create a card without using the Big Shot. When I teach classes at the library, we do two cards and inevitably, everyone ends up waiting for the Big Shot. So I decided to do one card that emphasizes embossing folders and diecuts, and another that doesn't require the use of the Big Shot at all!

Primrose Petal Snowflakes

SUPPLIES:

stamps - petite pairs
ink - not quite navy
cardstock - primrose petals, bashful blue, white
accessories - finishing touches edgelits, delicate doilies sizzlits, snow flurry Bigz die, holiday frame EF, pearl rhinestone

This is a super simple card - quick and easy! It is hard to tell that the color is primrose petals - it looks great against the bashful blue in person : )

Joyous Reindeer

SUPPLIES:
 
paper - basic gray, whisper white
stamps - teeny tiny wishes, joyous celebrations
ink - real red, basic gray
assecories -  holiday frame EF, labels framelits, word window punch, large oval punch, designer frame EF, ticket punch, cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon, pearl rhinestones
 
NOTE:
I first cut the white with the labels framelit, and then embossed the white and gray with the holiday frame EF.

Dazzling Snowflake


SUPPLIES:

  • accessories - holiday frame EF, snow flurry Bigz die, button, dazzling diamonds, two way glue pen; ticket, modern label and word window punches

French Foliage Thanks

I saw this card technique posted on Stampin' Connection by Marian Garcia. I loved the simple effect of the masking and sponging. I changed the colors and added the tab at the top.

Mask off the top and bottom of the card leaving the width exposed that will be sponged. Sponge in graduated colors - dark, medium, light. I began by sponging the daffodil delight on the right and worked my way left, adding calypso coral to the middle and melon mambo to the far left side. Whie still masked, use espresso to stamp the leaves that will only be inside the masking. Remove the mask and stamp the rest of the leaves that overlap the masking in espresso; add the dots and and round paris stamp in melon mambo. Stamp sentiment and add word window punch to top with button and baker's twine. Cardstock is so saffron.

Embossed Doily


I started with a piece of vanilla cardstock and stamped the doily with versamark then heat embossed with stampendous' pink pastel EP. Brayered pumpkin pie, cherry cobbler and so saffron over card then sponged early espresso inside doily;wiped off excess from brayering. Used ticket punch on top and matted with espresso and added designer series button and espresso baker's twine; added dotted scallop ribbon border punched in pink pirouette and espresso. Stamped thanks so much from old sincere salutations on pink pirouette; punched with oval, and matted in espresso with scallop oval. Used ticket punch on top edges of espresso and white cardstock.

Colorful Doilies

So I appear to be stuck on coloring with blender pens...I will need to snap out of it pretty soon :)

I stamped the delicate doily images in stazon black onto whisper white cardstock; colored them in with blender pen and wisteria wonder, wild wasabi, and marina mist. Matted with bashful blue and certainly celery. Banners are embossed with square lattice, chevron and fancy fan embossing folders. Added gumball green ribbon, pearls, itty bitty banner "congratulations" cut with bitty banner framelit.

This is the first time I've tried out this snowflake soiree set. The snowflakes in this set from the Holiday Catalog are beautiful!!! I stamped with stazon black onto watercolor paper, and colored in the snowflakes with blender pens using elegant eggplant and not quite navy. I used the finishing touches edgelits to mat the image.

Fall Color Twist


This is a fall leaves card with a little twist to the colors. I thought the vibrant colors on the french foliage set were fun against the pink pirouhette background panel embossed with the woodgrain EF. I first stamped the french foliage leaves in stazon black on watercolor paper; colored with a blender pen using calypso coral, elegant eggplant and melon mambo. Easy peasy!

Acrylic Block Leaves


 
I tried the acrylic block technique and didn't like the image on the paper so I decided to diecut the leaves out of it and add some color spritzing and brayering to them.

I stamped pumpkin pie and cajun craze on my acrylic block, sprayed with water, then stamped on whisper white. I then diecut all of the leaves; used SU's color spritzer tool and added cherry cobbler, more mustard and crumb cake. Brayered edges with soft suede on some leaves and cajun craze on the others. Background panels are embossed with wood grain folder. Cardstock: espresso, so saffron, whisper white. Happy Thanksgiving from TEENY TINY WISHES set. Leaves are spellbinders nested maple leaves. Ribbon is daffodil delight. I used popup dots on a few of the leaves.

Just Ducky

This is another simple format, easy to demonstrate as a make and take. This is similar to the earlier posting labeled butterfly trio. The ducks are from the wonderful winterland set. Best wishes is from the old sincere salutations set. Background embossing is chevron EF.

I am Blessed!

       We made a card today at the Hayden Library class that said "give thanks for the simple things in life" (see previous post). So I feel like I need to live what I stamp :) I have been so privileged to teach these card workshops at our local Hayden Library. In addition, I've been able to branch out and teach some card classes at Wildcat Pizza as well. I am thankful for each and every one of you that I've met during these classes. It is rare to meet such a great group of people that are so pleasant and encouraging to be around - thanks for your positive attitudes and smiling faces! I always look forward to the next class on the schedule and each time I leave feeling blessed. So I give thanks today for this opportunity, and for the great people I've met. I look forward to more :)

Wellness Wishes

  • stamps - wonderful winterland, teeny tiny wishes
  • accessories - bitty banners framelits, scallop punch, wood grain EF, word window punch, midnight muse ribbon
NOTE: Cut bashful blue cardstock, cut out scallop circle (I used nestabilities diecut for this), then emboss with woodgrain EF. Mat on top of red cardstock and adhere your stamped image to the center of the red background panel.

Warm Well Wishes

This is another card for a class I am teaching at Wildcat Pizza in Hayden.

Funny Face


Another simple and fun card for the halloween card class at Wildcat Pizza in Hayden, ID. The funny face and monster stamps are from the Michaels bin for .60 cents each :) Background EFs are fancy fan and square lattice.

Batty Halloween
