Pleasantly Poppied

I made this card for a stamping workshop I am holding at the local library. I tried to keep it simple, yet vibrant.

  • ink - not quite navy

Birthday Poppies

Having fun playing with my new stuff. This is the first time I've had the seam binding ribbon and I love working with it. It is so easy - especially for a lackluster bowtier like me! The window frames framelits are new too!
I stamped the poppies on watercolor paper, colored with blender pen and ink, cut with window frame framelit, then pierced. Added labels framelit in black with distressed edges. The background paper is from DCWV mat stack; embossed with vintage wallpaper EF then distressed edges and matted with black, also distressed edges.

SUPPLIES:

  • cardstock - black, watercolor, very vanilla, rose (not SU)
  • stamps - pleasant poppies, take it to heart (birthday banner), happiest birthday wishes
  • ink - real red, calypso coral, pretty in pink, black stazon, always artichoke
  • misc - blender pen, itty bitty punches, paper piercing, vanilla seam binding ribbon, pearl rhinestones, vintage wallpaper EF, edge distresser, window frame and labels framelits

Brayered Poppies

To make this card I first stamped the poppy image in rich razzleberry on whisper white cardstock, heat embossed to set ink, then colored image with versamark pen and heat embossed with clear EP. Brayered pink pirouhette, cajun craze, rich razzleberry, not quite covering the previous color as I brayered the next; embossed the image with perfect polka dot EF and cut with labels framelits and sponged rich razzleberry around the edges.

Soft Flower Thank You

This is a simple and elegant thank you card using the flower from an old hostess set called simply soft. I love how the 2 step stamping works on this flower to give it a watercolor look.

  • stamps: itty bitty banners, papillon potpourri (butterfly), simply soft (flower)
  • ink: calypso coral, lucky limeade, black stazon, early espresso
  • paper: calypso coral, wild wasabi, early espresso, whisper white, floral district DSP
  • misc: butterfly punch, bitty banners framelits, perfect polka dots EF, ribbon (not SU)
