Poppies 2

For this card I used blending brushes to apply ink in strawberry slush and tangerine tango. Used SU stencil and applied lunar paste in Guppy (bright orange color). The poppies were stamped in memento black ink, then stamped background swash with watermelon wonder. Colored over poppies with alcohol ink markers. Used gold EP for sentiment "there's no one quite like you" from the retired "thanks a bunch" set.

Painted Poppies Blue Green

This simple card features flowers from the Painted Poppies stamp set. The watercolor background was achieved by adding a few drops of reinker (mint melody, marina mist, lemon lime) to an acetate sheet, spritzing with water, then smooshing it down on water color paper. The background splotches behing the flowers are stamped in mint melody and pacific point.

Beautiful Painted Poppies

Bringing out an older set that is so fun to use - Painted Poppies. I love the simplicity of the flowers, and the watercolor background splashes that add so much character. I colored the poppies with Stampin Blends alcohol ink pens.
