Flower Flip Card

My second flip card - having a good time with this!
Flower images on the front flip are from Peaceful Petals and Secret Garden. Inside verse from Trust God set. It is hard to see from photo, but I added stickles to the flower petals.

Here is a link to flip card instructions:

Flip Card Instructions

To make a flip flop or swing card:

Take 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of card stock. Score at 4 1/4" and at 2 1/8". Center your die or framelit of choice on the 2 1/8" score mark. Place your plate so that you only cut the half of your die closest to the edge of the paper. Fold in half at 4 1/4" score, and again at 2 1/8" score. Cut out two more of each framelit, decorate, and glue to either side of flip.

Dress Up Flip Card

I missed the original Flip Card craze - so this was my first one. What fun!

To make the card, start with 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" cardstock. Score at 4 1/4" and again at 2 1/8". Center framelit on 2 1/8" score line and cut only half of the framelit (see below). Fold card in half and run through big shot with Moden Mosaic EF. Cut Dress Up framelit 4x - two in Pool Party and two in Basic Gray; emboss with square lattice. Fold at 2 1/8" score line. Cut gray piece and glue to pool party piece. Glue one completed dress to each side of flip.

To make the flower rosette, I punch 7/8" scallop cirlce out of Square Lattice embossed piece of Pool Party. Cut in a spiral and then beginning at the outer spiral edge, rolled the flower. Secured bottom with a glue dot.

This card originally started out to be a "magic card" I saw on Pinterest. But mine didn't turn out as pretty! So I already had the acetate stamped with the fox in Stazon, and the white piece behind stamped with the fox, but colored. So I decided to go ahead and layer them for an added dimension - even though I don't think you can see in the photo.

Trust the Lord

Stamped the flowers from Secret Garden in Stazon Black ink on watercolor paper. Colored using marker layering technique - crisp cantaloupe, calypso coral, strawberry slush, daffodil delight, crushed curry, more mustard and white gel pen.

Colored whole image in lightest color, added medium and darker colors at base, and colored again with lighter color to blend.

Watercolor Winter

To create the background colors, I colored the acrylic block using markers - coastal cabana, strawberry slush, crushed curry, pumpkin pie. Spritzed with water and stamped on whisper white cardstock. After it dried a little, I stamped the lovely as a tree in night of navy.

I think the colors mean I am looking toward spring!
